The El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce
is an advocate for business. Our goal is to make sure that the business
community has a voice in the ongoing debates over public policy
in our community, in our state and in our nation. The El Dorado
County Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Handbook is a concise record
of the position set forth by the Chamber's Board of Directors on
key issues facing all levels of the government.
Many volunteers contributed to the development
of this handbook. Even though the positions stated are those of
the Board of Directors and not the individual volunteers, this document
would not have reached publication without their knowledge and insight.
A special "Thank You" goes out to all of the El Dorado
County business representatives and other contributors.
This handbook is not complete, and in fact,
it never will be complete. There will always be new issues. The
El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Handbook is a
"living" document that will be revised on an annual basis.
Feel free to bring to our attention any issue you believe the Board
of Directors should add to the handbook. Please e-mail your suggestions
to chamber@eldoradocounty.org
or contact Laurel Brent-Bumb at (530) 621-5885.
Please put the Public Policy Handbook to
work. Together we can make sure that businesses are heard in the
many public policy debates that help shape our future.
