marketing vehicle to introduce their goods and services to fellow
Chamber members and the community.
Councils and Committee Meetings
- The Chamber is a member-owned organization. Participation in Councils
and Committees offers members a way to have an effective voice in
community business issues, and to meet other business and professional

Luncheons - Speakers present current
educational and informative business issue solutions in a casual
atmosphere. This is also where members can hear what is going on
in the various Chamber councils. Display your brochure or information

Direct Mail Promotion - The Chamber's
mailing labels - membership labels and relocation requests - are
available for purchase and use by members at reduced cost. E-mail
and Fax broadcast to the membership on one page black and white
is available for a nominal fee.

one free link of the member’s business from the Chamber’s
web page. Additional listings in different categories are available
for $25 each.
Bulk Mail Permit - Use of the
Chamber’s bulk mail permit is free to members.
Guidance and Counseling - If you
are starting a business, or if a particular business problem has
you stumped, the Chamber has means of asssisting you. The Service
Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) is an integral part of the chamber
through the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Small Business
Development Center (SBDC). Both offer free counseling sessions to
our members.
Newsletter Publicity - 50% off
advertising coupon in monthly Voice of Business newsletter. This
is available to members for advertising in several ways. Display
advertisements and business card ads can be included in each edition.
The newsletter is distributed with the Mountain Democrat and Village
Life, giving more ad-value for the dollar. People keep the newsletter
for the coordinated county calendar of events.
Seminars - The Chamber conducts
programs throughout the year designed to improve your opportunities
for achieving success. These meetings offer forums for self-improvement
and continuing education.
Business Assistance & Community Services
Business Assistance / Promotion
- The El Dorado County Chamber is responsible for directing and
coordinating programs to address the issues of buying and playing
locally, job creation,diversification of our economic base through
business retention, attraction of consumers outside the county and
business start-up assistance programs.
Legislative Action Committee -
The Joint Chambers Commission works to take positions on Federal,
State and Local issues affecting the business community.
Film Promotion - The El Dorado/Tahoe
Film Commission is continuing an aggressive program for attracting
the film/television industry to our County. The on-location film
activity brings great economic benefit to the county.
Relocation/Tourist/Visitor Information
- The El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce provides information
about the community, its recreational opportunities and historical
attractions. Requests for information are handed out and/or sent
out. The Chamber keeps a record of these requests and lists are
available for purchase by members at a reduced cost.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Brochure Distribution - All members
have the opportunity to place their business advertising brochure
or business cards in the Chamber office and visitor centers for
distribution to customers and visitors. Networking tables are at
all chamber events to display your brochures and information.
Chamber Membership Directory & Resource
Guide - Each member receives a listing in, and a complimentary
copy of our membership directory. These are distributed to businesses
in the region as well. In addition, each member receives a listing
on our website business directory.
Member to Member Discount - This program is designed to increase and enhance business of Chamber members by encouraging them to do business with each other. The names of participating businesses are emailed to every Chamber member at the beginning of the month. The discount also appears in red in the business directory on the Chamber's website.
Referrals - Of prime importance
are the thousands of requests for referrals for goods and services
that come to the office each year. Chamber members are referred
